We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is interested in starting a career in accountancy in finance. This newly created Trainee Accountant role based in our office in Hale, Greater Manchester, will enable the successful candidate to achieve a AAT L4 qualification with the potential to go on & study further to become a Chartered Accountant.

Skills you need:
- We appreciate a polite & professional manner, a smart appearance & a level of confidence that enables appropriate engagement with colleagues & clients.
- We value honesty, integrity, responsibility, accountability, reliability, punctuality & self-motivation in our team, and we look for conscientious & trustworthy individuals who can work independently & as part of a team.
- A high level of numeracy & literacy is essential – with a minimum of 7 good GCSE grades (9-6) to include both Maths & English language at the highest levels (8/9) & a minimum of 2 A-levels at grade A/A* (one of which must be Maths).
- Other requirements include excellent organisational skills, consistent, accurate & analytical working methods, plus effective time management, strong communication skills & a high level of attention to detail.

What you’ll do:
- A L4 AAT Accounting Technician supports the finance function by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with day-to-day accounting activities.
- Key responsibilities include: bookkeeping, accounting, auditing & tax preparation.
- The role requires the ability to manage a full time job alongside periods of intense study.
